So you have just announced your engagement, congratulations! This is the start of a new chapter in your life, and soon your life will change forever. If you are dreaming of a perfect wedding, or if you are just looking forward to your honeymoon, either way you are probably dreading going through the stress long hours, and hard work of planning your wedding. You can always go to Vegas and elope but you would probably regret it later in life. If you want that dream wedding without all the stress, here are a few things that can help.
First of all you need help! Enlist your friends and family to help you. Your mother, and maybe even your future mother in law, will most likely want to help you (but do not let them take over). Your bridesmaids are there for you! They are your closest friends and family and it is their job as part of the wedding to help you with whatever you need. Whether it be addressing invites or going shopping with you. Your maid of honor is your right hand man. She should be the one who helps who helps you along every step of the way. And do not forget about the man you are going to spend your life with, he should be there to help you as well, plus you might like his input.
You need to relax! If it is going to take taking a short vacation or going to a spa to help calm you down, then treat yourself. If all else fails just remember the reason why you are doing this, you love your fiance and you are going to spend the rest of your life with him. Nothing else should matter. Focus on the good things like the honeymoon, you love each other, and the life you will have together. No wedding will be a disaster as long as you have a good attitude and focus on why you are having a wedding in the first place. If it doesn’t help, go to your mom, friends, bride’s maids, and maid of honor and ask them to help and to calm you down…it is their job.
Another way to help you with all the stress is to get some of the weight off your shoulders. To do this you can wither hire a wedding planner or get a wedding planning book. A wedding planning book will give you an outline about when to do what, how, where, and tell you all you need to know about planning your big day. It will also give you ideas about themes, décor, and such which will help you on your way.
